Frequently Asked Questions

What insurance do you take?

Internal Resolutions is panelled with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, DMBA, Educator's Mutual (EMI), Medicare, Optum, PEHP, United Healthcare, UMR, and UMWA. Payment methods accepted include HSA, credit or debit card, check, and cash. Venmo and Paypal are not accepted.

How does billing work?

If you are private pay, payment is expected at the time of session. If you wish to use your insurance, Heather will file the claim which will then be processed by your insurance company. If your deductible is not met, then a bill will be sent to you with the remaining cost of the session which is expected to be paid in full thirty days from the initial invoice sent date. It is up to each individual to determine whether their insurance will cover cost of sessions as each insurance company and plan varies in deductable, coverage, and payment.
For those who are out of network or choosing not to use insurance, a good faith estimate will be provided before your first session, given advance notification. If you choose not to use your insurance, you must notify Heather or her assistant upon scheduling your first appointment.

Heather requires submission of all paperwork in order to submit claims to your insurance company. Failure to provide all necessary information will result in being charged the full cost of session.

Links to your telehealth session will be sent through text or email before your appointment. If using a smart device, you will be required to download the HIPAA-compliant app before your first session.

Location address is listed on Current Client page. Please do not refer to google for location.

What is the first session like?

Essentially it starts with a conversation where both therapist and client can get to know one another and from there the process of therapy begins. In my work, I set a priority to get to know you and what your goals are for treatment. I believe in a healthy therapeutic match and hence the first couple of sessions will be about me getting to know you. From there a treatment plan is made to guide the work that will be done in your sessions. This treatment plan is usually a constant work in progress as new insights are made and new concerns come into the picture.

What do I need to do before my first appointment?

Once your first appointment is scheduled, your paperwork will need to be completed the evening before your first appointment. Your paperwork will be sent to you through email or can also be accessed by signing on to the client portal at https://heather-towndrow.clientsecure.me/.

All policies and intake forms will be completed through the portal. Clients may also upload insurance information onto their portal or are welcome to bring insurance cards to their first appointment.
On the day and time of your appointment, if scheduled in person, you will find Internal Resolutions at 42 S Main Street, Helper, Utah. Appointments are located down the stairs to the left of Matsuda's Acupuncture. Due to the office having no waiting, individuals are asked to wait in their vehicle until notified to come in for their session.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, you must give notification 72 hours before your first appointment. Not providing enough notification will result in being charged the full cost of your session. Payment of the missed session is required before being able to reschedule.

I've heard about EMDR. Will we be able to use EMDR in my sessions?

Whether EMDR are appropriate modalities to use in your sessions is dependent on many factors which will be assessed in your first few sessions to ensure that EMDR is used most effectively. If Heather believes another modality would be more appropriate, this will be discussed more in your sessions.
